The Alliance welcomes Anderlecht among its participants

The Alliance is pleased to welcome the Belgian city of Anderlecht as the 126th participant. Anderlecht is situated in the region of Brussels-capital. With 113.183 inhabitants it is one of the biggest cities in Belgium.

Since 2011, there is an action plan, set up by the local authorities, favouring the inclusion of the resident Roma, featuring trainings for school and prevention staff and positive communication around the Roma community. Furthermore the city works together with an NGO on the ground to support the participation of Roma families in neighbourhood activities and to organize trainings for social workers on the ground.

Anderlecht supports all his citizens, with Roma being one of its priorities, to participate in social and local life by promoting inclusion projects. The Alliance welcomes the city of Anderlecht and invites it to benefit from its European network of best practices and experience.
